YES.

We've been asked a few times to implement a way that someone can be registered to be available to sub, even if they're not already playing that day on that field. We listened to the requests and think that the system that just got put into place should work out well for those folks. If you click on the profile link on the top, you can select a location, select days that you wish to be contacted regarding that location, and hit save (repeat as needed). There will soon be a better way of knowing what you are signed up for (its just plain ugly now), but we wanted to push out the feature as early as possible for all the users. If you see anything else you would like, please let us know at support@teamsubs.com.

*If you're a captain (or planner, as we like to say), you can find these subs (as well as the old same-day-subs) by clicking the "Find subs" button under your response.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://teamsubs.blogspot.com/2008/11/more-subs-really-yes.html' title='More subs... really? For instance, you're playing softball and realize that you only have 8 players, but need another to field a full team. You can click "Find subs" (under the box you normally type your response into) and you will be presented with a list of other players who have already said that they're going to be at another game at the same field. You can then check the boxes next to their name or email and send them a mail through Teamsubs. We're just trying to make the "Hey! Can you stay for another game?" conversation a bit easier (we've all been there). If you edit your profile, you can turn this option off, so that other captains can't find you (in case you want to remain private and not to be contacted with such requests).

-Dev team
